Effective from February 1, 2026. Written in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
When you register we collect your name, email, phone and (for partners) your business licence details. When you book a test we collect vehicle registration number, class, fuel type, address, and desired slot. When a partner completes a booking we may receive the PUC certificate validity date.
To operate the Platform (creating bookings, matching you to a nearby partner, sending confirmations and expiry reminders), to comply with legal / RTO requirements, and to improve VayuCheck. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We send transactional email via Resend and SMS via Twilio for booking confirmations, status updates and expiry reminders. You can request to stop non-essential notifications by writing to privacy@vayucheck.in.
We share the minimum booking data required (name, phone, vehicle details, slot) with the specific Partner centre you book, so that they can serve you. We do not share your data with any other Partner. We may share aggregated, anonymised statistics with regulators or research partners.
Data is stored in encrypted databases on servers located in India / Asia region. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. Session tokens are transmitted over HTTPS and stored as httpOnly cookies where applicable.
Booking records are retained for 7 years to comply with statutory audit requirements. Marketing preferences are honoured for the lifetime of your account or until you delete it. When you delete an account, personally identifiable data is purged within 30 days except where retention is required by law.
You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. Log in and use the settings menu, or write to privacy@vayucheck.in. We respond within 30 days as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and analytical cookies to improve the Platform. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings without breaking core functionality.
The Platform integrates with Emergent Google OAuth for social sign-in, Resend for email delivery, Twilio for SMS delivery, and MongoDB Atlas for database hosting. Each of these processors is bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data-protection agreements.
The Platform is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email or an in-app banner at least 7 days before they take effect.
As required by Indian law, our Grievance Officer can be reached at grievance@vayucheck.in and typically responds within 15 working days.
